Description
This is a model of the famous Super Vehicle 001, main character's vehicle in the first, great, Metal Slug videogame.
This tank was created starting from an old webcam who worked as the main structure for the hull and the turret. The main shape was designed by cutting and gluing cardboard, soft plastic and using the well known "green stuff" by Games Workshop.
Details were mainly taken from old model kits and from GW's miniatures from the Warhammer 40k series, but there's been a frequent re-use of old stuff I had in my drawers: pencils, cables, mice trackballs, wires... Everything I could get my hands on.
It's been a long long work assembling this Tank. After this first paces I washed it with a mixture of water and vinylic glue and then I used water-vin. soaked paper to shape the hull and the armour.
Then I painted it with a black primer and then proceeded with acrylic paint, several... A LOT of hands of dry-brush painting in order to get the "rusty" feeling about a rough, over-used war vehicle.
And finally... Here's the complete job!
I REALLY hope you like it. It's one of the models I'm most proud of
